A Family Adventure:: { Sedona }

I am a hermit.  I can stay indoor for days and remain sane.  If the brother of Jared were putting together a crew in this time and day, I would be a great candidate.  All I'll need is my baby and the hub {you know I can't live without them}, some books, a game or two, a kitchen would be nice too, and I can be on that boat for 344 days oh yeah.  But I kinda hate that about myself so I made a goal to go on more adventures and Memorial Day was a great day to start.

The original plan was to drive to Sedona Sunday night, stay over, explore all Monday, and drive home Monday night, but I cringed after finding out how much it was to Hotwire a hotel in Sedona so I convinced Jake to make it a day trip.  We packed all our anti-sun gear, toys and books for the baby, an audio book for mommy and daddy, a cooler filled with snacks and drinks for everyone and we were good to go!  Ethan was so pleasant and playful during the car ride, it made me extra glad that we didn't spend a fortune on a hotel room.  Sedona was beautiful; being there made all of us so happy.  I could feel the positive energy flowing into my body :)  On our way to our trail, we passed tons of million-square-foot homes and most of them are to die for.  There are lots of hikes to do in the area but we were able to do only one trial on Monday.  We can't wait to go back when it's a little cooler!  All we'll need is a baby hiking backpack...

S is for Saturday

What a busy weekend we had!  Saturday morning, we went to look at houses with our realtor which made me feel like a real grown up but at the same time very intimidated as well since I have no idea what I'm doing.  Which neighborhood do we want to live in?  Do we want a brand new house or one already on the market?  What about a gated community?  School districts?  Private pool?  Blah blah blah.  It was all very exciting but my blood pressure was starting to go way up so we went home and took a two-hour nap.  What a miracle to be able to take a nap let alone a TWO-hour nap!  I woke up feeling like a brand new person and my skin looked a thousand times better.  It was like I went HD.  Anyway, after our nap we went hat shopping for the mini.  I had a hard time deciding which one to get...

We took the eye poking as a sign that it was time for the next stop.
More shopping but this time for mommy.

I love this picture of him.  "Just hanging, mom!  No big deal!"

And instead of crying,
 he's been doing this funny nose thing like someone has just given him a buttercup
whenever he's not happy about something.

To end the night, we went to Jessie's wedding which I had already blogged about.
It was certainly a full day!
